Overview

Evo services are powered by RESTful APIs. All Seequent Evo APIs include a similar set of patterns, authentication requirements, versioning, and response types. This section includes a summary of some of those common patterns:

Common data types

A guide to datetimes, UUID (universally unique identifiers), and CRS (coordinate reference systems).

CORS

CORS (Cross Origin Resource Sharing) is a resource sharing mechanism in the browser that allows a URL from one origin to request data from another.

Preview APIs

Seequent APIs occasionally expose experimental features that you can opt in to. These features should not be used in production, but can be tested out.

Versioning

Seequent APIs use semantic versioning. An increment to the major version number of an API indicates a breaking change.
