Configuration properties for pole-dipole or offset pole-dipole electrode arrangements in resistivity-IP surveys. In a pole-dipole array, one current electrode is placed at a large distance ("infinity"), while the other current electrode and a pair of potential electrodes form the measurement. This configuration offers a good balance between signal strength and lateral resolution.
